I bought this drive because the one in my laptop went bad. It's a little big of you wanna move around with it, but it's gonna be at home mostly so that's not really a problem.

It's a pretty solid drive. Construction is good, and so far it performs well. And plus...I saw it in an episode of Chuck sometime back...lol. All in all great External Optical Drive.

My only problem: it is quite slow for burning double layer dvd, but very fast for everything else.

This product works exactly as advertised. I was going to buy an internal disk drive but for the price, this one was an excellent choice.
